At our first Make / Share rendez-vous, we had fun!
About 40 people came to not only hear, but also watch and try out, from 4 inspiring people: Mike Enoch, procedural narrative game developer in progress who talked about his project of using story boarding within his new game’s dynamics; Gemma Connell, artistic director and dancer who presented Flow! an improvisational dance piece; Elisabeth Armour, jewellery designer, who let us try out her Anarkik 3d system; Ryan McLeod, digital designer at Slurpp, who built a wiffle golf demo in the space for our enjoyment.
We were taken on a tour around the space where the speakers gave their engaging talks and demonstrations about the things they’ve made and the process they’ve gone through to make them. After that, there was a time to mingle and ask questions. We also got a wee peek into Sara Robertson’s E-Textile swatch book.
Thank to cinematographer/photographer Alan McIlrath for the video and Wire & Wool for the music! This captured the evening very well!
If you’d like to talk about a project you’ve been working on at a future Make / Share, just get in touch, or feel free to bring along your things to show and demo (creations/products/processes) on the night.
Join us for our next regular meet-up on Wednesday 9 September 2015. Don’t need to sign up, just come along!
