Bringing together people who make things, whatever they may be! Make / Share is the chance to hear a few informal talks by people about the things they’ve made and the process they’ve gone through to make them.
We also have space to show and demo your creations/products/processes, so please just bring them along on the night – we’ll have tables and a plug socket or two on offer if needed.
Makers speaking about their process this time include:
David is a self-publishing comics in his spare time, he loves comics, makes comics, reads comics, writes about comics. Newest publication: “Silently Falling” featured in Jack Sprat Press.
Grant is a web developer who occasionally likes to dabble in other creative past times including bread making, electronics and helping run Dundee MakerSpace. Grant has been working on an internet radio alarm clock for the 21st century for far too long. But it’s finally a fun and useful alarm clock with some unorthodox features.
Andrew studied Textile Design for 4 years at Heriot Watt University in Galashiels, before going on to work as the handloom technician for 2 years. He’s interested in weaving, technology, and weaving technology. He’s currently refurbishing this loom (at Dundee MakerSpace! see photo below) with the intention of making various forms of E-textiles and also hoping to make it a useful tool for public use.
If you’d like to talk about a project you’ve been working on at a future Make / Share, just get in touch, or feel free to bring along your things to show and demo (creations/products/processes) on the night.
Join us on Wednesday 9 September 2015. Don’t need to sign up, just come along!
