D:Screen, a new group which screens creative and design themed films to designers and makers in Dundee, have their first event on Monday 21 November from 7pm at Gate Cafe. D:Screen will showcase design and maker related films every 4-6 weeks.
The events will be free and provide the opportunity to meet other local designers, makers and creatives and attendees can chat about what they do over some food and coffee.
The first D:Screen event will show the documentary: “MAKE”, produced by MusicBed. MAKE is a feature-length documentary for the modern creative. This film is a question. A conversation starter. It’s an examination of the reasons we create and the things that drive us to make something new — passion or success. The film looks to examine the myth of creative success and what it means to live a healthy life as an artist.
D:Screen aims to showcase a broad range of design related films and be a place to share ideas and indulge in idle banter with fellow designers and makers in Dundee. Whether you are a designer, maker, filmmaker, creative enthusiast or just passing by, come join in the first D:Screen event.
