The practice of ‘making’, specially when it involves a good creative and hands-on mess, has become a key part of Dundee’s local culture. If you’re looking for a way to join in and have been trying to find an event that is fun, not pressurised, community-focused and caters for a wide range of skill levels – this might be the perfect thing for you!
Dundee Mini Make-Off is a small initiative aiming to engage local communities with makers, artists and designers in an effort to celebrate unique creative communities, increase arts accessibility and introduce people to the benefits of making.
It creates fun, engaging, inclusive and interactive events that encourage everyone to come together, share skills, learn, and explore their own creativity.
The next Dundee Mini Make – Off x Art Bubble Summer Pop-Up is in collaboration with Art Bubble. It will take place on Saturday 22nd July 2017 at Art Bubble Studios, Unit 11, Douglas Court, West Henderson’s Wynd, from 11am-5pm.
There are many different workshops to try throughout the day for all ages and abilities so there will be something for everyone! Visitors are invited to come along at any point throughout the day to relax, get creative and learn something new.
Any artists interested in taking part should email dundeeminimakeoff@gmail.com for more info.
