Come along to an evening of conversations and discussion, tomorrow at the DCA (Tuesday 25th). The event will include contributions from artists who have recently been awarded international residencies supported by British Council and Hospitalfield, the organisers of this event.
This event is perfect for anyone interested in visual arts in Dundee and its interaction with international exchanges. Speakers will include: Camille Chedda (Kingston, Jamaica), Joanna Helfer (Dundee, UK), Ranjeeta Kumari (Mumbai, India) and Sumesh Sharma (Mumbai, India).
Joanna Helfer, who wrote a few blog posts for us about her residency in Trinidad earlier this year, explained: “This event will give an insight into the importance of international connections to artists, especially those working in cities and places removed from the national cultural centres. We will be discussing various international artists exchange projects connecting the Dundee and Angus regions with projects all over the world“.
