As Dundee gathers ideas and submissions for its bid to become European Capital of Culture 2023, the youth project Hot Chocolate Trust and Dundee City Council will be hosting an event to bring together youth workers and young people to discuss dreams and ideas for the bid.
Join other youth workers (however you define that – if you work with young people and you want to come… then come!) and young people to spend three hours dreaming big and making actual plans that can become part of the bid. This isn’t just a talking shop but neither will it throw up a load of extra work – at least not until 2023!
The event will happen at The Shore on Thursday 24th August, 4-7.30pm to brainstorm ideas and then work up the ones you’re most interested in, to be directly submitted to the bid programme team.
Dave Close, Director of Hot Chocolate Trust, explains: “A successful bid to become European Capital of Culture will need to draw on all of our city’s creativity and dynamism and that means tapping into the energy and ideas of young people across the city. So how many brilliant ideas can we unlock in three hours? The more we can do now, the bigger the opportunities for young people now and into the future…”
Join this exciting new opportunity and help make 2023 a year for young people too!
