5 Week Block – Thursday Evenings

Art Bubble Studio, Unit 11, Douglas Court, Dundee

In this 5 week block, Kirsten will be teaching you a range of basic jewellery skills and techniques that will enable you to design and create your own finished pieces of jewellery. The first 2 weeks will be techniques based where you will learn how to solder, saw pierce, hammer, shape and texture metal.

The following 3 weeks will be spent focussing on your own designs and using the techniques you have learned to create your own unique jewellery pieces. You don’t need any jewellery making experience but good use of your hands and eyes is necessary.

All tools, base metal and a small amount of silver will be provided (if you wish to use any more than this, it will need to be purchased separately). This will include a sketchbook for you to take notes and sketch your own designs, handouts covering the skills and techniques from the class as well as a list of jewellery tool/materials suppliers.

The class will take place in Art Bubble Studio, Unit 11, Douglas Court, West Henderson’s Wynd,  Dundee, DD1 5BY.
