ASPIRE Dundee is an ambitious project which uses drama, dance and music across and beyond the school curriculum to increase and develop pupils’ health and wellbeing, confidence, self-esteem, learning and skills whilst challenging inequalities. It aims to:
Rep Engage has been involved in the ASPIRE programme since it launched in 2013, working with pupils, families and local groups throughout the Whitfield area of Dundee. We are now looking to recruit three freelance Drama Artists to deliver the next stage of the programme with the opening of the new North East Campus, combining Longhaugh Primary, St. Francis Primary and Quarry View Nursery.
Using an immersive approach, pupils and teachers will work with highly skilled drama artists to embed drama and creativity at the heart of the campus. The core focus will be on increasing levels of confidence, imagination, self-belief, wellbeing and ambition, whilst improving attainment and developing stronger relationships across the whole school community and beyond.
