Creative Dundee and the Festival of the Future invite you to join them for a conversation about the steps towards equality in Scotland. Exploring themes like the media’s approach to diversity, representation and equality, as well as some of the harshest economic realities in the country today, speakers will share a provocation and then participate in an open panel conversation. Speaking at the event will be:

Ellie Mae O’Hagan is a writer and commentator, writing mainly for the Guardian. She has also written for the New York Times, the Times, Washington Post, Vice magazine, Foreign Policy and others. She is writing her first book to be published by 4th Estate Books in 2019. @MissEllieMae

Alberta Whittle is a Committee member of Transmission Gallery and Board Member at SCAN. Developing interactive installations as site-specific artworks in public and private spaces, her research seeks to encourage linkages between active collective unknowing/unlearning history & memory. Alberta has shared her work in various solo and group shows, including at the Johannesburg Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale, The Showroom (London), FRAMER FRAMED (Amsterdam), and many more! Alberta is the 2018 recipient of The Margaret Tait Award.
