Occupying the space where science and culture collide, the Festival of the Future organised by University of Dundee between 17 – 21 October, will bring together design music, art, science, food, books and theatre. They’re working with partners across the city and throughout Scotland to bring you brand new commissions, world-class performers, authors and the best events for kids.
Over five days and forty events welcome to the first Festival of the Future. Besides workshops and unique performances, the festival will also count with the presence of Chris Brookmyre and Ken MacLeod, Ellie Mae O’Hagan and Alberta Whittle, Dr Kate Stone and Be Charlotte, Fred MacAulay, Louise Welsh, Ambrose Parry, Niamh Nic Daeid and Val McDermid, Hania Allen and much more!
We want to draw special attention to ‘Act Locally: the Present Fight for the Future of Equality’, an event we’re running in partnership with the festival. Also, be sure to catch the #Shpeel talk from some of the collaborators – a great insight into the project that represented Dundee at the London Biennale.
You can check the full programme here and follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter.
