Open Call: Commission on ‘Equality’

Creative Dundee will be hosting a panel event on October 18th called ‘Act Locally: The Present Fight for the Future of Equality’ within the University of Dundee’s Festival of the Future. As part of this event, we will be commissioning an artist to present a piece of work in response to the theme of ‘Equality’.

The final product can be presented in a variety of mediums; film, writing, digital installations, print-making, illustration, photography, performance, etc… We are very open to new ideas and formats for this piece.

In order to apply, please email us with a pitch for what kind of project you want to develop and how it connects with the theme of ‘equality’. We are especially interested in considering applications from individuals who have personal experiences inequality that might inform their work in some way, please ensure you add this to your pitch.

Here are some details:

  • The chosen artist will be given £500 to complete the project.
  • The deadline for sending us your pitch is Friday September 21st.
  • To apply, email a pitch (consisting of 200 words max. + relevant images) and any links to relevant past work to our Digital Producer Sam Gonçalves using the subject line: ‘Equality Pitch’.

We are accepting applications from anywhere in Scotland.
