A new TRAVEL THE WALL open call, part of Wallspot, aims to develop artist exchange among Wallspot cities, promote artists from the platform and create international projects to recognise their talent. This time, the exchange will take place between Aberdeen, Dundee, Parma and Barcelona thanks to a collaboration with Wallspot managers Rebobinart (Barcelona), Open Close Dundee (Dundee), Throw Up Gallery(Aberdeen) and McLuc Culture (Parma).

Selected artists from Aberdeen, Dundee and Parma will stay in Barcelona from the 23th to the 26^th of November and will have the chance to share their art on Wallspot walls. Likewise, selected artists from Barcelona will stay in Aberdeen, Dundee or Parma from the 23th to the 26^th of November.

Terms of the call for artists

• 1 artist from each city will be selected to travel to another Wallspot city:
  • Artists from Aberdeen, Dundee and Parma will travel to Barcelona
  • Artists from Barcelona will be able to select their preferred city (Aberdeen, Dundee or Parma), and whilst every effort will be made to send winning artists to that city, this is not guaranteed.”
• Each manager will select the artist who will travel to their city
• Deadline to submit applications: 28^th  of October 2018
• Public announcement of the selected artists: 5th of November 2018
• The submission of an application implies the acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this call for applications

Applicant requirements:

• Applicants must be registered on Wallspot as an artist
• Applicants must have painted their local Wallspot wall between the 1st of January and the 28th of October 2018. This will be:
  • Mary Ann Lane for Dundee applicants
  • Sunnybank Park and Donside for Aberdeen applicants
  • Tres Xemeneies, Agricultura, Selva de Mar, Western Town, Poble Nou, Forum Beach, Forum Place, Drassanes or Mas Guinardó for Barcelona applicants
  • Ponte Europa, Cavalcavia Ferroviario Via Trieste or Parco Nord Skate Park for Parma applicants

• Applicants must have uploaded a picture of their work on Wallspot. The jury will only consider the works that applicants have created on Wallspot walls and that have been posted on Wallspot website.
• Applicants must fill out the online application form

Selected artists will be provided with:

• Spray cans
• Flights
• Accommodation
• Video interview
