Dundee Women’s Festival 2022
Dundee Women’s Festival is back with a two-week-long programme of events celebrating how ‘Today’s Women Shape Tomorrow’s World’.
With events covering seedbombing to stand-up comedy and bikes to burlesque, this year’s Dundee Women’s Festival builds on the celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women recognised annually on International Women’s Day on 8 March.
Running from Sat 5 until Sun 20 March, the Festival’s events and workshops aim to expand networks, spread knowledge, build confidence, highlight women’s historical achievements, and create space for fun and learning.
Here is a small taste of what’s on offer throughout March!
- Flip the script on a manmade world: join V&A Dundee as they celebrate Great Women Designers with author Jane Hall, in an online talk on Tue 8 March.
- Meet gardeners from the past and present at The MAXwell Centre on Thu 17 March. Hear stories, make posies and craft seedbombs.
- Get down to DCA and create striking banners, posters or tote bags at craftivism workshop Say It Loud on Thu 17 March.
- Imagine having a body that your mind and soul don’t recognise. Period. is a dance film exploring gender dysphoria by Shaper/Caper, free to watch online.
