16th May, 9:30am at Malmaison Dundee
With a day full of discussions, talks, networking and looking to the future of the sector, this inaugural conference creates space for those working in the Scottish fashion industry to contribute to a new national conversation.
Anyone working in fashion—from designers to buyers, manufacturers to curators—is encouraged to join Scotland Re:Design for an event covering everything from business skills and building the sector in Scotland, to diversity and sustainability. Maybe you’re a slow fashion brand weighing up the pros and cons between organic vs vegan, or an established brand pondering over how you scale your business and progress to net zero. Perhaps you’re someone with a passion for legislation and policy, determined to make the industry a fairer place. Whatever your background, you’re welcome to join the conversation and have your say.
Speakers include: fashion and lifestyle content creator Howey Ejegi; textile pioneer Clare Campbell from rebel tartan makers Prickly Thistle; Georgina Ripley, Principal Curator of Modern & Contemporary Design at National Museums Scotland; and Dundee fashion designer Hayley Scanlan.
