21st May, 12:00pm at Craigie Street Pocket Park
Sustrans Scotland have commissioned local artists Louise Kirby and Gordy Craw to brighten up shop shutters along Albert Street and Langlands Street in Stobswell as part of their Pocket Places project.
The artists have created artwork inspired by the local character and identity of Stobswell, and the natural heritage of the area. You’ll find plenty of swans bobbing along shop shutters in a nod to Swannie Ponds, as well as lots of colour and pattern!
Join Sustrans for a pop-up event at Craigie Street Pocket Park for free tours of the artworks, where you can also chat to the artists and find out more about what inspired their designs, and take part in free art activities, including a temporary community artwork.

The new artworks form part of the wider Stobswell Pocket Places project delivered by Sustrans and Dundee City Council, with input from Stobswell Forum and the wider local community. The project aims to introduce small changes with big impact, to make the shopping district a better place to walk/wheel around and spend time in.
