Creative Dundee’s Annual Activities Overview 2021/22

As we navigate a not-quite-post-pandemic world, we reflect on continued initiatives, new developments and everything else we’ve been up to over 2021/22.

We’re so thrilled to share our latest Annual Activities Overview, brought to life by Giorgos Asvestas, a newly graduated illustrator from DJCAD.

Alongside the four pillars (Amplify, Connect, Collaborate and Cultivate) that guide our work, we reflect on three defined key intersectional issues facing those in the city and creative industries in the development of all that we do. With our evolving understanding of these issues, these focuses are:

  • Justice
  • Wellbeing
  • Sustainability

Our Overview of 2021/22 has seen a return to big collaborative projects and in-person events alongside a continued emphasis on collective care that was only heightened by the pandemic. We’re grateful as ever for the support from and connection with the networks around us, and look forward to what comes next!

We also have a text-only version of the Annual Activities Overview 2021/22.

Our Annual Activities Overview was brought to life by Giorgos Asvestas, who is newly graduated from Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. We asked Giorgos to share what inspired his design concept:

“I wanted this illustration to be nothing less than a celebration, with collaboration at its heart. A group of creative individuals, full of life, ambition, and ideas, coming together to empower one another, promoting positive change, and working towards building a stronger community.”

We’re grateful, as always, for the support, skills and expertise of our voluntary Board of Directors.
