Applications now open for Hospitalfield’s 2023–2024 Graduate Programme and residency.

Hospitalfield are currently accepting applications from 2021 and 2022 Scottish art school and college graduates for their yearly Graduate Programme and residency. The programme will offer twelve artists a year-long relationship with Hospitalfield, alongside a structured mentoring programme, and a sixteen day residency.

The Graduate Programme is devised, selected and facilitated with the Mentors Circle which includes artists Sekai Machache and Rachel Pimm, and Hospitalfield’s Programme Manager, Cicely Farrer.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must have graduated from art programmes in Scotland in 2021 or 2022, and cannot be part of formal education at the time of the residency.
• The programme is not open to artists graduating in 2023.
• Applications will be assessed on artistic interests and methods, and how the programme will support an applicants specific artistic and professional development needs.
• Hospitalfield discourage projects while on residency which are site specific or directly draw on Hospitalfield itself.

The programme will run online and in-person from 1 October 2023 to 31 September 2024, with the artists in residence at Hospitalfield from 12–29 March 2023. Artists will each receive a £750 bursary alongside accommodation and meals across the sixteen day residency.
