Aiming to spotlight the societal and industry barriers for older emerging artists, the Old Contemporaries exhibition features the work of 40 final year students, and new and emerging artists from across Scotland who just happen to be over the age of 30.
Running at GENERATORprojects from Wed 20–Sat 23 September, Old Contemporaries second Annual Group Show will profile a host of new and exciting artists alongside the original group who exhibited with them in 2022. Join them to celebrate a captivating show of exciting and innovative artwork from new Scottish talent.

Old Contemporaries is a collection of emerging artists from Scottish art schools who just happen to be over the age of 30. The project strives to highlight that, despite societal and art-industry barriers, artists aged 30 and over produce visually impressive, vibrant, thought-provoking, and relevant contemporary art.
