With all the design activity across May collected into one handy spot, the Dundee Month of Design programme showcases the many brilliant people who make design in Dundee special, from students to established artists and makers. The month includes:
- Whimsical Woods and the Toadstool Trail: Wed 1–Tue 21 May
Join WhimSical LusH in the Green Gallery at Dundee’s Botanic Gardens for a curious illustrated woodland journey.
- A Decade of Design: Sat 4 May–Sat 3 Aug
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Dundee’s UNESCO City of Design status, this exhibition showcases a decade of design created by students at DJCAD.
- Design a Bug World: Sat 11 & Sun 12 May
Help illustrator Cara Rooney to transform Dundee Design House into a world of bugs, by drawing and designing your own insect characters to cover the walls.
- Mindful Crafting: Thu 9 May
Join the University of Dundee Museums online for a relaxing hour of sketching, taking inspiration from artefacts in our collection.
- Make a Silver Pendant: Wed 22 May
Join jewellery designer/maker Islay Spalding for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to make a textured silver pendant in a shape of your choice.
