Dundee SOUP with the Changemakers Hub

Design by Jurgita Vas

Join Dundee’s Changemakers Hub for three special Dundee SOUP events championing and crowdfunding community-based projects.

Based on the popular Detroit SOUP model with a local twist, Dundee SOUP is a micro-funding event celebrating and supporting creative community projects in Dundee.

For a suggested donation of £5 or more, Dundee’s Changemakers Hub are inviting you to come together to share a simple soup supper, connect with each other and champion community-based projects, through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration and fun.

At three events we’ll hear short presentations from local people with creative ideas to benefit their community – these can range from art, design, urban agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education and much more. At the end of each event, everyone gives their donations directly to their preferred projects!

Dundee SOUP is open to anyone – whether you need help for an idea that could benefit the local community or whether you want to support a project that aims to tackle local challenges.

Over the months ahead, the Hub will offer support, events, workshops and micro-grants to connect and amplify collective community action.

The Hub is part of a growing national network of Climate Action Hubs funded by the Scottish Government’s Climate Action Fund, which aim to build local awareness of the climate emergency, develop local plans, help groups take up funding opportunities, and contribute to a Just Transition.
