1st March, 10:00am at Local History Centre at Central Library
Our Amps network includes freelancers, students and people who support creativity in the city – including folks who work at some of Dundee’s cultural and creative organisations and institutions. Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the Local History Centre at Central Library!
Amps will be guided by historian Erin Farley, sharing the plentiful resources the centre offers, as well as a peek into the stacks and rare books collection. The Local History Centre has a collection of over 20,000 items, including books, pamphlets and directories relating to the City of Dundee and surrounding areas, as well as an extensive collection of prints, photographs, postcards, maps and plans. We’ll also have time to connect and chat afterwards – grab a hot drink and meet other local artists, designers, makers and doers in the network.
Tickets are free, limited and available to supporters of our Amps network only. Booking is required, but if you’re unable to join us on the day, we’d be grateful if you could return your ticket so that someone else can attend.
This tour is wheelchair accessible and assistance dogs are welcome. Additional information about access at Central Library is available via Euan’s Guide and AccessAble, but if you have any questions about access, particularly detail on the Local History Centre which isn’t specifically listed on Euan’s Guide or AccessAble, please get in touch.
