Now showing at Generator Projects, Charlotte Maishman’s Holding Time explores endurance, resilience, the quiet strength found in stillness, and the deeply personal process of making.

At the centre of the installation is a field of hand-formed porcelain tiles, created through a repetitive and meditative cycle of labour. These are activated by projection mapping, producing a shifting surface of light, memory, and gesture. Through this interplay of material and image, Maishman draws attention to the paradox of porcelain itself.

A labour of love, grief and time, this is a body of work not only to behold but to stand within and experience. Don’t miss it.
