Events
- Composers Andrew Wasylyk and Tommy Perman return to Dundee on Sat 8 November for a special performance of their critically acclaimed and Scottish Album of the Year Awards longlisted record ‘Ash Grey and the Gull Glides On‘.
- On Fri 7 and Sat 8 November, LexFest brings together local and national musicians for a special two-night event celebrating the life and music of Dundee musician Lexi Campbell, and raising funds for charities The Canmore Trust and MindOut.
- Join composer Ed Muirhead and Dundee Community Youth Orchestra on Sat 8 November for the live premiere of ‘Streets of Dundee‘ – a musical celebration of the roads, avenues, wynds, lanes and streets of the city!
- Dundee Jazz Festival is back from Thu 13 to Sun 16 November with an incredible lineup of national and international talent, alongside local rising-stars Kimberley Tessa and Susan McCathie debuting new projects!
Workshops
- Artist Katie McGroarty is opening her studio for Tuesday Night Crits, offering space for established and emerging artists to share their work with peers and receive constructive feedback. Join the next session on Tue 11 November.
- Join ScrapAntics on Tue 18 November for their next Re/Shape workshop where you can design and create your own hand-painted wooden jewellery.
- Contribute to a collaborative sewing project with Arts Workers for Palestine Dundee at their next Embroidery in Solidarity with Palestine session on Sat 22 November. No experience necessary with support and materials provided.
- There’s still time to join The Acting Lab for their next Improv Workshops series, running until Sat 13 December! Boost your creativity, spontaneity and confidence in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.

Exhibitions
- Vending at Volk Gallery from Wed 6 November – multi-disciplinary creative Kyle Watson shares a series of prints celebrating the textures, shapes, patterns and details of Dundee.
- Dundee-based ceramicist and sculptor Charlotte Maishman’s ‘Holding Time‘ opens at Generator Projects on Sat 8 November, promising an immersive and profound exhibition.
- Visit Nomas* Projects until Sun 30 November for ‘Working the Clock‘, a new exhibition by artist Justine Watt steeped in repetition, renewal and meditative rhythm. Hear from Justine about the work at an online artist’s talk on Sun 9 November.
- Now showing at DCA, ‘bone stone voice alone‘ presents a newly commissioned body of work by artist Lauren Gault across sculpture, print, sound and moving image, investigating the land of Tayside and beyond.
Content
- A beautiful and moving comic from Erin McGrath commissioned for this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival and based on notes and sketches from across her first two years of motherhood.
- Original Copy Collective have been sharing a series of short features on each of the brilliant emerging artists exhibiting as part of their Freshly Pressed 2025 showcase.
