Join Scottish Enterprise for breakfast to hear about the growth of cultural tourism and how you can identify opportunities for products and services. There will also be a chance to hear case studies from successful cultural businesses.
This event will include the launch of a new ‘Cultural Tourism Business Opportunities Guide’. Stewart Walker of Business Tourism Solutions will present the new Guide, and the UNESCO City of Design team will share their plans for the next 12 months.

On 28-30 March, Scottish Enterprise will lead a learning journey to Liverpool. Liverpool has grown cultural tourism over the last 30 years and presents a unique opportunity to look at what makes a successful cultural destination, and remains at the forefront of developing city and waterfront tourism. Now the UK’s 4th best destination for tourists, Liverpool is also home to a range of cultural icons such as Tate Liverpool, Liverpool Biennial and The Beatles.
Liverpool 08 is regarded as one of the most successful City’s of Culture ever. The Learning Journey will include visits to a number of Liverpool’s cultural attractions, and meetings with those responsible for developing and delivering a successful visitor destination.
Scottish Enterprise can offer a limited number of grants of up to £250 to support the cost of travel and accommodation. If you are interested in participating in the Learning Journey, please contact louise.tobin@scotent.co.uk for an application form.
