Dundee may be small in scale, but its rich creative scene is full of local treasures that we keep discovering – venues, sights and hangout spots. Take a look at our updated and crowdsourced 99 Things to See and Do in Dundee guide of the city, it is bursting with incredible and inspiring places to be experienced.
One amazing Dundee spot, Urban Quarters, offers four luxury apartments on South Tay Street, each named after a famous and influential Dundonian from the past – Mary Ann Baxter, James Valentine, Patrick Geddes and Anna Thompson Dodge. They are keen to support the creative sector in the city, and have joined Amps – our collaborative network – as a City Supporter.
Now, as we launch the updated guide, we are delighted that Urban Quarters is offering one complimentary two night stay for a lucky winner in one of their luxurious flats! Having recently visited the well-designed apartments we agree that that they really are impressive and do feel like a home from home.
Right in the cultural heart of the city, Urban Quarters is just a couple of minutes walk from DCA, The Rep, independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, many of which can be found in 99 Things to See and Do!
On this collaboration Lynne Henderson, Founder of Urban Quarters says: ”We have been hugely inspired by the buzz of creative energy being generated in the city right now, so to be given the chance to support Creative Dundee, by becoming an Amps City Supporter was a welcomed opportunity for us. It seems fitting to kick off this new collaboration by offering fellow creators the chance to sample what it actually means to stay at UQ. We’re pretty sure you’ll love it!”
To win this brilliant prize of a two night stay at Urban Quarters, all you have to do is post a photo on social media, either Facebook (remember to make it public/searchable!), Twitter or Instagram:
You can download 99 Things to See and Do in Dundee here. The most creative response, as judged by the Creative Dundee and Urban Quarters team, will be selected from all the received #dundeeguide posts by 12 noon on Friday 4 August 2017, so do get sharing your thoughts/images! The winner will be notified by Wednesday 9 August 2017.
Please note that the winner will be the person who has entered the competition – this is not exchangeable.
