Vanilla Ink Studios is running a range of short jewellery making courses over the next couple of summery weeks. There are courses for all levels of making, from the beginner, to the not so beginner! You can pick and chose which classes you would like to attend and each class will give you with the knowledge and experience of jewellery making. With tools and materials all included, you will walk away with a handmade shiny jewel to enjoy forevermore or gift to someone special! 

Classes on offer include…

Learn to weave and crochet using metal wire:

Mixing textile techniques and wire work, Audrey and theweerobin will help you to create a fine and intricate piece that could be worn as a ring, bracelet or pendant – All Levels £85 included silver ring. 20^th July 2.30-5.30pm.

Learn to enamel:

Making an enamel brooch with Leanne, you will learn the technique of applying enamel to metal and using colour and pattern to create a unique, wearable brooch – Beginners/Intermediate £75. 22^nd of July 2.30-5.30pm.

Wax carve your very own ring:

Learn the art of wax casting with Victoria and Scarlett, carving your own wax model ring, which will then be cast in silver and the finishing touches added in the studio – All Levels £120 includes silver cast. 23^rd of July 2.30-5.30pm.

Add surface pattern to metal using etching:

Here Ruth will be teaching you how to etch a pattern onto metal and from this you will create a silver ring- All Levels £85 Includes silver ring. 24^th of July 2.30-5.30pm.

Make a trinket box:

Here Kate and theweerobin will show you how to create a trinket box with a lid, perfect to keep a ring or pendant inside – Beginners/Intermediate £60. 25^th of July 2.30-5.30pm.

Make a silver ring:

Pick up some core metal work skills and make a silver ring in a one-day workshop with Kate the founder of Vanilla Ink Studios- Beginners £70 Includes silver. 26^th of July 2.30-5.30pm.

Learn how to use precious metal clay:

Precious metal clay is a tactile material, here Joanne will teach you how to mould and create a ring using both silver wire with silver clay details. You will also have the option to add a bit of bling with some colourful CZ’s. You can make your own texture, pattern and shape to fire and on day 2 you will have created a finished piece to wear- All Levels £115 includes 10g of silver clay. 28^th 12-4pm & 29^th of July 10-2pm.

Add your own fabric to your handmade jewellery:

In this class Ruth and Sally will teach you how to apply your own fabric to a piece of metal and transform it into a completely unique brooch for you to take away and cherish – Beginners/Intermediate £70 each. 1^st of August 2.30-5.30pm.

Recycle your old silver jewellery and make something new:

Bring in your old silver jewellery and Filipa will help you melt it down and create something brand new giving your old, broken or un-loved jewellery a new lease of life – For all levels £70 each. 3^rd of August 10-5pm.
