DJACD’s Masters Show showcases the work of MFA, MFA Art & Humanities, MSc Medical & Forensic Art and MSc Animation & Visualisation, from Saturday 17 Aug – Saturday 24 Aug 2013.
Dozens of students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design will exhibit the fruits of their labours on some of the UK’s most innovative and exciting postgraduate courses. Work from Masters programmes – Animation & Visualisation, Art & Humanities, Fine Art, Forensic Art and Medical Art – will go on display at DJCAD, part of the University of Dundee.
Jeanette Paul, Acting Dean of DJCAD, said, ‘Creativity, imagination and innovation are the key characteristics required of postgraduates as they create stimulating work informed by the intelligent research they carry out.”The end result is a series of thought-provoking exhibits that demonstrate how our students have built on their undergraduate learning to develop their work to a new level or in a different direction. They only have 12 months to complete their Masters, and so must work extremely hard throughout the year.”Their dedication, combined with their natural ability and creativity, is demonstrated in the work displayed in this year’s show. The result is a range of conceptual, thought-provoking and vibrant work, and I would encourage everyone to come along and find out more about what the students have been doing – you will be inspired.’
