This Sunday 9th August in Baxter Park, Team Creative Dundee looks forward to seeing you. Kindly welcomed by the Stobswell Event group, we’re taking part in this year’s Celebration in the Park and we’re keen to hear your stories about the area and the city.
Come visit us in the Pavilion between 12 noon to 5 pm and tell us why you enjoy where you live! We’ll be geared up with maps, cameras and note books, and ready to gather your insights of Stobie and beyond. We’d love to know your thoughts on where to go and what to do.
When friends come visit you in Dundee, where do you bring them? What makes your neighbourhood unique? What do you like about it? What can be found there and nowhere else? What are its famous features and hidden treasures? Why do you like going to the Baxter Park, the Swannie Ponds, the Museum of Transport, DISC or anywhere else that others might not know about yet?
There will be physical maps where you can pin down your favourite places or draw your beloved sight-seeing tours. We’ll have a photographer and a filmmaker on hand to capture your thoughts throughout the afternoon too.
This will be a perfect time for you to share your personal insights about those places and routes where you go so often, about why you like them, or why you would recommend a friend to visit them, and finally to tell us about local opportunities that help you grow as a community.
Photos, interviews and your recommendations about places and opportunities not to be missed will then be featured on our website, which will include a map populated with all of your hot spots.
This project follows on from Small Society Lab in June and specifically builds on the idea of Follow Me!, which was developed during the two day Lab.
