Creative Dundee

To recognise with the certainty of an ideal sibling

Date: 13 April // Venue: Cooper Gallery // Time: 2–4.30pm // Tickets

This screening and discussion explore collective and personal experience, tenderness, tensions, and transformative gestures. It considers the significance of recognition as a counteraction to a lack of confirmation of the self.

There will be an open-ended discussion following the screening where those attending are invited to consider their responses to the ideas that may emerge from the films.

This screening has been selected from the LUX collection by artist Anne-Marie Copestake to accompany her solo exhibition, ‘Looking in either direction the whole street was filled with people, some singing, moving towards x…’, at Cooper Gallery, Dundee. The discussion will include light refreshments and is presented in collaboration with LUX Scotland.
