Hospitalfield is looking for an artist with experience in working with young people to deliver 12 weekly creative workshops for a group of 11 – 14-year-olds.
This exciting new project in partnership with Barnardos and Tayside Council on Alcohol, will encourage participants to formulate ideas, engage with the new surroundings, learn a new technique or skill and be inspired to produce high quality art and will build the group’s capacity and confidence, develop their personal and/or physical skills and encourage the participants to engage with art and creativity in positive way. This could be through visual art, performance, film, photography, stop motion animation, or ceramics.
The artist and participants will be asked to take inspiration from the history, grounds and natural environment of Hospitalfield, and the ideas surrounding germination – to sprout or grow from a seed or spore, to grow or develop to come or bring into existence; as growth, new life, botany, biodiversity, permaculture, sustainability, soil and sprouting from dormancy.
