Events

• DeeCon, Dundee’s biggest anime, games and comic con, returns on Sat 9 April after two years in hibernation.
• Join Nethergate Writers on 16 April for the launch of their new book ‘The Low Road’.
• hidden route young company present The Raven by Hannah Lavery, an exploration of what shapes and divides us, on Wed 20 & Thu 21 April.
• More pop-up joy! Textile designers Kate Scarlet, Jo-AMI and KerrieALDO showcase their work at Gallery 48 on Sat 30 April.

Workshops

• The Acting Lab have a new run of Improv Workshops starting later this month.
• There are a bumper load of ceramic classes coming up at Dundee Ceramics Workshop, including intro courses and wheel throwing!
• The DCA Learning Team have taken over the gallery and are filling it with amazing art activities for the Spring Studio Pop-Up!

Opportunities

• We Are Here have opened a second round of their Creators Fund, providing funding for BPoC creatives across Scotland.
• Hospitalfield are looking for a Lead Artist and an Art Education Assistant to deliver this year’s Young Artist Club.
• Creative Entrepreneurs Club have rejigged their Creative Ambitions freelancer skills course to better fit with the ebb and flow of creative life.

Exhibitions

• Songs for Work, a new exhibition of poetry, performance, sculpture, audio, and publishing, opens Sat 16 April at GENERATORprojects.
• Drop in to the Overgate’s Gather space and see everyday items reimagined by Level 3 DJCAD students in Designs for Living. Open until Sun 10 April.
• Volk Gallery have extended their latest show by artist Maria Tolia until Fri 15 April.
• Mis(sing) Information, curated by Dundee-based visual artist and curator Saoirse Amira Anis, is open now at Perth Museum and Art Gallery.
