Scotland Re:Design’s Scottish Fashion Festival returns to V&A Dundee for 2022 with a runway show of iconic design!
After their inaugural outing in 2021, Scotland Re:Design are back with the Scottish Fashion Festival: a celebration of Scottish design throughout a programme of workshops, showcases and nights out across Dundee.
From Tue 15 to Sun 20 November, you can find an array of fashion-forward events popping-up in the city, featuring local talent like Jo-AMI, Dreamland Clothing, Tilda Watson, Isolated Heroes and Hayley Scanlan.
Festivities include:
- The festival launches on Tue 15 November with the SR:D Awards at V&A Dundee, celebrating the amazing work and impacts of designers from across the country as well as Shelter Scotland’s new SR:D Award, Fashion for Social Change.
- Don your glad rags for the Opening Night Gala Runway at V&A Dundee on the night of Tue 15 November, with music from DJ Dicky Trisco. Dress code: Fashion’s Big Night Out.
- Take in the Talking Threads exhibition at the Overgate’s Gather space until Sun 20 November, featuring work by Tilda Watson.
- On Wed 16 November, drop-in to the SR:D Pop-Up Shop at UNESCO City of Design Dundee’s Union Street space.
- Join Isolates Heroes #SequinSquad in celebrating 10 years of the brand! They’re hosting brunch at The Selkie with a trunk show, DJ, sequin goodie bags and more on Wed 16 November.
- Inject a little colour into your wardrobe an upcycling workshop with Ruby of Dreamland on Thu 17 November.
- You can reimagine your knitwear to design a unique piece that you’ll want to wear over and over with Jolene of Jo-AMI on Sat 19 November!
