FRACTURES is an exhibition of new work by Dundee artist Tom Carlile. Through a combination of sculpture, film and drawing the exhibition explores the ongoing child abuse investigation Operation Yewtree. FRACTURES runs 7th – 14th February 2015 at The Number Shop, Edinburgh.
Examining the perpetrators, the victims, the media’s involvement with the investigation and a perceived social desensitization to the crimes themselves FRACTURES confronts in a visceral and uncompromising way the brutality of these acts whilst remaining sensitive to the complex context in which they exist.
