PechaKucha Night Dundee returned to the main stage of Dundee Rep Theatre on Thu 10 November 2022 for a sold out show!
Hosted in the city by Creative Dundee since 2011, PKN now takes place in over 1,200 cities around the world. It’s a simple quick-fire format: speakers talk about a subject of their choosing, showing 20 images, each for 20 seconds—meaning no two nights are ever the same. You can watch all previous talks online, or use our randomiser if it’s too hard to choose!
After starting in Tokyo in 2003, PKN has grown into a global phenomenon. They’re always different, entertaining and inspiring, and there’s something for everyone. Our regular Pass the Mic section also gives anyone in the audience the chance to shout out any events and opportunities they have coming up for the rest of the city to hear about!
Biggest thank you to Jurgita Vas for our illustration, and also for bringing it to life through animation!
Creative Dundee supports creative talent to base, grow and sustain their practice in and around Dundee, by connecting and amplifying the city’s creativity.

My name is Fatima Ishaq and I’m a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament for Dundee West. I’m passionate around empowering young people to reach their potential, and love meeting young people and representing their views with the youth Parliament and Dundee youth council! I worked on developing and delivering a campaign called ‘Oor Fierce Girls’, looking at tackling peer sexual abuse, and I am passionate in creating safer spaces & safer places for all! I am also incredibly passionate around mental health, where I volunteer with various organisations and am also a trus tee at Feeling Strong, a Dundee based mental health charity.
Aside from campaigning, I am navigating life through my gap year – working, volunteering, and a commitment to improving my mental health – with an aim to study social work next year!

I’m Ravideep Kaur, Coach/Consultant and obsessive disruptor – specialising in the somatic embodiment of decolonial healing & pro-liberatory education.
I’m incredibly passionate and advocate for each and every one of us to own and represent the wholeness of who we really are. This means letting go of deep social conditioning that no longer serves us, allowing us to build and embody a sense of self-trust so that we can move forward on this journey towards collective healing & ultimately liberation.
My passion for this work stems from my awareness and capacity to see things through multiple lenses at the same time.
My ultimate commitment is to continue to lean into my own ancestral history and wisdom, reclaim and empower others to do the same. For that, we must collectively understand how much of our experience is tied up within colonial structures, statuses and enforced forms of domination. I am humbled both by the beauty of this world and by the concept of being a lifelong learner. In person, I am you, a fellow traveller on a spiritual path of discovery and healing.
