Venue: The Beer Kitchen Dundee // Date: October 10th // Time: 7-8:30pm
Make/Share is a free monthly event which brings people together to gain a behind the scenes insight into creative processes, held on the second Tuesday of each month, at The Beer Kitchen Dundee, from 7pm – 8.30pm.
Join us on Tue October 10th and hear short talks by four local makers about the processes behind turning their ideas into reality, and how living and working in Dundee influences their work. The theme for this month is ‘Making in a Time of Brexit.
Speakers explore how their project or product has evolved, how they experiment, what their biggest challenges have been and how they were overcome. After the talks we have a short opportunity for any questions to the speakers, and for you to share your upcoming events with the group.
We’re delighted that The Beer Kitchen is our official sponsor venue for Make/Share and supports the event with a complementary beer or soft drink at arrival. Also, exclusively for Make/Share attendees, after 5pm you can claim a 10% on any food or drink at the Beet Kitchen!
You don’t need to sign up, just come along!

Neil is a place management consultant who sits on the Dundee 2023 European Capital of Culture bid team. As you would anticipate, the focus on this bid in comparison to the city’s UK Capital of Culture bid is Dundee’s traditional and – crucially – current links to Europe and how these can be woven into a compelling proposal for a designation that transcends Brexit. Peggy is currently the Manager of Literary Dundee, at the University of Dundee, where she delivers the Dundee Literary Festival (18th-22nd October), among other projects and programmes. She loves books and is inspired by people, and loves nothing more than bringing both together. Peggy plans to reflect on this year’s festival programme, particularly its attempts to celebrate the role of storytelling as a vital way to understand others and to explore literature’s place in today’s turbulent times.
