Like our other posts about Makers and Shops, we want to showcase some excellent local places where you can do your Christmas shopping. More than ever it’s impotant we support our makers and their creativity, buying local is not only more sustainable and ethical, it also offers you something unique.
Below is a list of some local market we have come across – if you know about any other ones use #MakeLocalDundee and tell us about it! We’ll keep adding them to this page.
Open several dates between now and mid-December. The residents of the studios have gathered together a carefully curated selection of work from some of their amazing maker and artist friends and have displayed it alongside the jewellery, candles and frames made in the studios. You can find ceramic, jesmonite and wooden homewares, cosy woollen textiles, calendars and tea towels, original art and prints, soaps and lip balms and the hot gift for 2020… handmade face masks!
On November 28 and 29, discover, celebrate & support an awe inspiring line up of independent creative businesses based in Scotland over the last of Tea Green’s two winter weekends!
A pop-up festive lounge between 29 November and 9 December where you will be able to socially distance and have a personal shopping experience through booking an individual slot for your family or friend group.
On 5 December Makers for Maggie’s are showcasing their stalls online and you can shop their wonderful creations from the comfort of your sofa!
Every maker will donate at least 15% of their sales to Maggie’s Dundee to support their vital work.
