Artists Pamela & David Scott will be talking printmaking, public art, photography, music and video with Fun a Day Dundee on 15 January. There will be a bonus drawing activity with Pamela, too!
Storyteller and local historian, Dr Erin Farley has written a book compiling fantastical folk stories from Dundee and Angus, have a read of Angus Folk Tales.
Potluck Zine are opening up submissions and pitches to their sixth edition! Editor Rhia Cook is looking for words and images that refelct the theme of Authenticity. Deadline is 2 February.
Events
At DCA Cinema on Thu 20 January there will be a special screening of Gaelic-language documentary Iorram(Boat Song) followed by a live in-person Q&A with director Alastair Cole.
On 9 February, local artist Sorcha Pringle will be hosting a vsual impairment awareness training session for creatives of all disciplines. The event will be online at 7 pm – 8:30 pm and is free with a small donation for those who feel able!
Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies are hosting two workshops that explore the past, present and future of creative and cultural policymaking in Dundee. On 20 and 25 January, the event is open to all.

A Streetcar Named Design – fellow UNESCO City of Design Saint-Étienne are inviting post-graduate students to submit proposals for a tram cover design as part of Saint-Étienne’s 12th International Design Biennale.
Design Exhibition Scotland are seeking proposals from artists and designers for a public park bench in partnership with the Mount Stewart Trust. Deadline is 31 January.
