- Art at the Start have released a lovely new publication full of art ideas to encourage messy fun at home for adults and wee ones.
- HotchPotch is back for another round of open-mic spoken word on Wed 15 June.
- Sam Gonçalves has guest curated some talks and panels at this year’s Solas Festival – including some familiar Dundee faces!
- Rep Stripped is back – a four day festival from Wed 1 to Sat 4 June at Dundee Rep, showcasing fresh writing, new ideas and unseen work.
Events
- Cooper Gallery hosts the 12 Hour Sit-in Revel at the Botanic Gardens on Sat 25 June: a day-long gathering of open-air conversations, dance, music, performance, readings, screenings, workshops and food.
- Face the Music present Songwriters Night #7 on Fri 3 June with Haystack Monolith, Ian Black, and The Doolichters.
- Pop-Up Opera is coming to Slessor Gardens on Sat 4 & Sun 5 June – join Scottish Opera for three half hour shows for all ages.
- The Yard market returns to 71 Brewing on Sat 2 & Sun 3 July – head along and support local makers and designers!
Workshops
- Explore jewellery design as a method for collective healing with Natla Jewellery Studio at V&A Dundee on Sat 18 & Sun 19 June.
- Join University of Dundee Museum Curator Matthew Jarron and Botanic Garden Curator Kevin Frediani for a guided Art and Nature Walk on Wed 15 June.
- Learn about how climate change and disability rights intersect and how cultural organisations and artists can apply these lessons at an online talk on Wed 22 June, with speakers including Sorcha Pringle.
- How It Felt are hosting The Story of Me as part of Refugee Festival Scotland on Sat 25 June, inviting families to learn about the power of storytelling and sharing your story with others.

- There’s a HOT opportunity to join the Dundee Ceramics Workshop team as a Senior Ceramics Technician. Apply by Sun 5 June.
- Feral Arts have an open call for a new outdoor arts residency aimed at Scotland-based artists interested in developing outdoor or site-specific projects responding to landscape. Deadline Thu 23 June.
Exhibitions
- ScrapAntics invite us to celebrate creating together in their Sharing Stories exhibition on Sun 19 June, featuring collaborative work by the New Scots and local families who take part in their Family Club.
- Something for Nothing by Mim Seddon is the latest exhibition at Nomas* Projects – exploring ideas about connections between mechanical invention, unseen labour and human development.
- Brave Sunset, the latest series of surreal and retro-styled acrylic paintings by Geckor Designs, opens at Wasps Meadow Mill on Sat 4 June.
- Volk Gallery have a new edition in the vending machine: Isla Valentine Wade presents Something Remains – A Riddle – A Splinter, inspired by the writings of Vladimir Nabokov.
