Hospitalfield are currently commissioning for artists to work on two projects later this year; one with children from local primary schools and the other on a partnership with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT). They are specifically seeking artists based within the DD postcode area to lead on the two projects.

Commission to design and direct the Annual Children’s Graduation Project

This project brings over 400 children together from local primary schools to work on a major creative endeavour that celebrates the graduation of the older children moving on to secondary school.

• Open to artists/practitioners working alone or in a collaboration/part of a collective, and who live and work in the DD postcode area.
• Practitioners working across a variety of disciplines are invited to apply; for example Artists, Art Educators, Dancer, Musicians etc.
• Fees budget: £4,000
• Project dates: March–June 2023

Commission in partnership with THAT; the Medicinal Garden

This project is structured as eight weekly workshops working in partnership with Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust and those experiencing long term health conditions. The commission will use the development of a medicinal garden at Hospitalfield as a starting point for the project.

• Open to artists/practitioners working alone or in a collaboration/part of a collective, and who live and work in the DD postcode area.
• Practitioners working across a variety of disciplines are invited to apply; for example Artists, Art Educators, Dancer, Musicians etc.
• Fees budget: £2,624
• Project dates: May–June 2023
