Local creative design studio Agency of None, celebrate their fifth year as a small design studio with ongoing project D is for Design; taking a fresh and playful look at the people, language, wildlife, weather, and systems that shape Dundee’s identity.
Cultural icons such as Dennis the Menace are reimagined as distorted shapes, forming a recognisable yet warped version of the beloved character. The distinctive pattern of Dundee Cakes’ almonds are transformed into a screen-printed pattern, and collected data on sunlight hours and green space are turned into abstract compositions.
Agency of None are showcasing these graphic design pieces in a exhibition at Gallery 48, running until Sun 16 July, and on a new website which also offers visitors the opportunity to purchase the designs as prints and merchandise.
