We can’t quite believe it but Christmas is right around the corner once again! This festive season, we want to give local makers and designers a helping hand where we can. If you’re in a position to, we’d encourage you to do the same! And where better to shop than at one of the many festive markets taking place across the city?
Below is a list of the ones we know of so far—if we’ve missed any, send us an email and let us know! We’ll update the list as more are announced.

Double Door Studios are once again transforming their exhibition space for the fourth year of their popular Festive Boutique! Alongside jewellery, candles and mirrors made in the studios, this year you’ll also find a wide range of products from a hand picked selection of artists, designers and makers based in Scotland.

V&A Dundee’s Festive Design Market is back! Curated by the brilliant Tea Green Events, this year the market will feature work from some of Scotland’s best independent designers and makers—including brand-new graduate talent from DJCAD. With handcrafted items at a wide range of price points, it’s the perfect place to pop in and pick up some gifts and festive goodies.

CRAFTED, the DCA’s yearly Festive Market, is back and bigger than ever. They’re returning to the bright space of their galleries but this time they’ll be there over two days! Expect talented designers of jewellery, textiles, illustration, print, homeware and more, all offering a wide range of great gift ideas.

Kicking off the season early, monthly market favourites The Yard are hosting several dates in the Christmas run-up. With their usual all-encompassing lineup of local makers, businesses, food and drink all in attendance, it’s perfect for shopping local.

GENERATORprojects’ annual winter market is back! For one day only, pop along to their space just off Perth Road to browse and buy gifts directly from local artists and craftspeople, enjoying some food and music whilst you do it. All sales go directly to the artists! During the market they’ll also be accepting donations for a clothes and toys drive and an odd sock open call.
