- Project Echo, from CULTIVATE Creative Practitioner Jaz Grady, has been on a mission to empower young people across Perth and Kinross. Celebrate the project and the young artists involved at their showcase exhibition, It’s the End, on Sat 4 November.
- Join local curatorial duo Two of Cups at Forgan Arts Centre on Sun 5 November to celebrate Samhain with an evening of song, dance, and storytelling.
- Listen, relax and unwind at a new Dundee Open Book shared reading group, who now meet fortnightly at Dundee Rep. Join them for the first session on Tue 7 November.
- Join Uppertunity at the Keiller Centre from Sat 18–Sat 25 November for the Brawnches Festival! A week long celebration of community with events and workshops to help you connect and reset for the changing season.

- Dundee Jazz Festival returns with another incredible line-up of live performances all across the city from Thu 2–Sun 5 November!
- Scottish Games Talks Live is back in Dundee on Wed 15 November for an evening of talks and networking for local game developers!
- Get ready for The Dundee Hooley on Sat 25 November! Celebrate St Andrew’s Day in style with an evening of performances, live music, food and drink, and of course the torchlight parade!
- Alongside the Otolith Group exhibition ‘…But There Are New Suns’, join Cooper Gallery for a series of events forming The Ignorant Art School Sit-in Curriculum #3 across November and early December.
Workshops
- Join Scottish Artists Union for a new three-part online series exploring neurodiversity and neurodivergent identity in contemporary arts practice. Sign-up to join for free.
- Join UNESCO City of Design Dundee and Say Something Dundee for the Reflecting Together workshop on Mon 6 November to come together and share memories of loved ones lost during the pandemic.
- Get into the festive spirit with Dundee Ceramics Workshop and their Alternative Ornaments workshops and create your very own set of handmade decorations. Join a class on Thu 9 or Thu 23 November.
- Looking for something to entertain the little ones? Join Create & Colour for their brand new Kids’ Art Classes exploring different creative mediums and watch them create a masterpiece every week!
Opportunities
- The Scotland Re:Design Scottish Fashion Festival is back for 2023! Alongside joining the Opening Gala on Fri 17 November, you can now nominate your favourite fashion and textile local heroes for the SR:D Awards.
- Dundee Women’s Festival wants your events for their 2024 festival! They’re looking for events taking place from Sat 2–Sun 17 March 2024 on the theme ‘Weemin Mak it Happen’. Submit before 5pm on Fri 17 November.
- Digital artists aged 18–28 – don’t miss the chance to apply for Hotel Generation and the opportunity to receive mentoring from New Media Scotland on developing an exhibition of your work. Applications close Mon 20 November.
- Calling all writers! If you’re taking part in Nanowrimo and need a little company while you write, join the Dundee & Angus Nanowrimo group for twice weekly meetings and some friendly support.
Exhibitions
- Visit DCA’s Centrespace from Fri 10–Sun 12 November for the Made in DCA Print Studio exhibition with the opportunity to view and buy work by more than 25 local artists.
- Now on at St Andrews Museum – Crafted Selves: The Unfinished Conversation, a new exhibition curated by Cat Dunn, features thirteen Scotland-based artists exploring dual identities in their work.
- Explore the work, legacy and continued influence of Bernat Klein’s design in new exhibition Bernat Klein: Influence & Inspiration running at V&A Dundee from Fri 17 November.
- Visit Federation Gallery until Sat 25 November for Stop Look Listen, a new collaborative show between award-winning artists Laurie McInally and Maella Wallace.

- Ever been in a bush and not known what music to play? Help from musician and composer Claire Gorman is at hand through the form of a delightful new chapbook, Music in Bushes!
- Ahead of their group exhibition in Dundee last weekend, CULTIVATE project participant Wuraola Young shared a blog on her experiences of a CULTIVATE workshop and her reflections on the connections between science and art that could lead to meaningful change.
