Stuff I Found on the Floor at Nomas* Projects

Interdisciplinary artist Jem Mellor shares an unusual collection for the latest Nomas* Projects exhibition.


Now showing at Nomas* Projects, Stuff I Found on the Floor by artist Jem Mellor curates and displays a collection of 80 objects sourced from local walks during the spring and summer of 2020. Gathered during the Covid-19 pandemic and UK lockdowns, the collection serves as an unique archive of the period and explores the relationship between humanity and matter.

The exhibition is available to view 24/7 in the windows of 9a Ward Road until Fri 29 August. Mellor will share more about the work during a free online artists’ talk on Mon 19 August which can be accessed via zoom.

Nomas* Projects is an experimental four-window gallery space run by local artists Cully McCulloch and Owen Daily, providing a platform for contemporary art in a broad range of media. The project hopes to contribute to the growing cultural life of the visual arts in Dundee by showing strong contemporary work from around the UK and abroad, and offering an opportunity to investigate the role of art in society.
