We can’t quite believe it but Christmas is right around the corner once again! This festive season, we want to give local makers and designers a helping hand where we can. If you’re in a position to, we’d encourage you to do the same! And where better to shop than at one of the many festive markets taking place across the city?
Below is a list of the ones we know of so far—if we’ve missed any, send us an email and let us know! We’ll update the list as more are announced.

CRAFTED, the DCA’s yearly Festive Market, is returning to the bright space of their galleries! Over two days, expect talented designers of jewellery, textiles, illustration, print, homeware and more, all offering a wide range of great gift ideas.

Start your festive season with a magical weekend at Verdant Works! They’re bringing together the finest producers in the region for festive shopping and with performances from local choirs and musical groups, you’re guaranteed to leave with a warm, fuzzy festive feeling.

Monthly market favourites The Yard are hosting several dates in the Christmas run-up. With their usual all-encompassing lineup of local makers, businesses, food and drink all in attendance, it’s perfect for shopping local.

V&A Dundee’s Festive Design Market is back! Curated by Tea Green Events, this year the market will feature work from some of Scotland’s best independent designers and makers—including brand-new graduate talent from DJCAD. With handcrafted items at a wide range of price points, it’s the perfect place to pop in and pick up some gifts and festive goodies.

Enjoy a day of festive fun for the whole family at The McManus with their pop-up Christmas Market! There will be lots of gift buying opportunities from wonderful local makers, businesses, and suppliers alongside a host of festive activities.

A unique festive event offering you the opportunity to meet some of the many ceramicists and potters working in Angus! Hear about their practice and buy some of their stunning work; from the smallest items to much more ambitious pieces. Dundee Ceramics Workshop will also be joining the event this year with artists working with clay and moving image in the digital studio.
