- Vending at Volk Gallery until Sat 9 November! Intense Love and Overwhelm from artist Rosie McGregor, presents a series of clay pendants as small tokens honouring our paradoxical spectrum of emotions.
- Join Art Workers for Palestine Dundee for Creative Protest on Sat 9 November and craft with purpose from sign-writing to collective embroidery. Take what you make away onto the streets and show your solidarity.
- Calling all tabletop gamers! Join the monthly Tabletop Playtesting Meet-Up on Wed 13 November to meet new folks and playtest new board games, card games, TTRPGs and more.
- Converse and Create with ScrapAntics, Dundee Women’s Aid and WRASAC at a relaxed and welcoming coffee morning on Wed 20 November. Enjoy a hot drink and a chat before getting creative and making placards for the Reclaim the Night March.

- Dundee Zine Fest is back on Sat 16 November! Join them at Art Angel with an incredible lineup of zine makers in all shapes, sizes and paper stocks.
- Sharpen your pencils for special Costume Life Drawing sessions with Local Art Club and join them on Sat 16 November to sketch 1990s fashion.
- Dundee’s much-loved Jazz Festival returns from Wed 20 – Sun 24 November with an amazing lineup spotlighting female vocalists.
- Get your tickets for the Articulation Winter Gathering taking place in Dundee for the first time on Thu 5 December and join them to celebrate the work of the outdoor arts, circus and spectacle sector in Scotland.
Workshops
- From Sat 9 November, head to V&A Dundee for their Winter Design Workshops and enjoy some festive crafting with everything from glass decorations to twinkling origami string lights!
- Get together with friends, enjoy a drink, and make some bold and graphic prints with Lego at DCA’s next Sip & Print workshop on Wed 13 November.
- Join Dundee Changemakers Hub for their Social Media Skillshare on Wed 13 November and learn more about managing a digital presence with minimal time and resources, alongside opportunities for networking.
- Forgan Arts Centre have launched their new Autumn/Winter programme for workshops and classes! Hop over the bridge to Newport-on-Tay to try out pottery, stained glass, upholstery, printing, sculpture and more.
Opportunities
- ScrapAntics are searching for a new Manager with knowledge of the third sector and a passion for social justice to help coordinate and run the organisation. There’s a rolling open call for applications until the right candidate is found.
- DCA are looking for a new Learning Coordinator to join their Learning team. If you’re passionate about arts education and engagement and can bring your own creativity to the role, apply before 12 noon, Fri 22 November.
- Applications for the Dundee Musicians Award are open until Fri 20 December! Dundee-based musicians can apply for up to £600 towards the costs involved in creating new work, research, or professional development.
- Immersive Arts, a three-year programme encouraging artists to engage with immersive technologies, is now open for applications with grants of £5k, £20k, and £50k available! Apply before Mon 2 December.
Exhibitions
- Opening at Original Copy on Fri 8 November, Freshly Pressed is Original Copy Collective’s inaugural exhibition showcasing emerging talent from DJCAD’s Fine Art and Art and Philosophy graduates.
- Work by more than thirty artists captures the ever-changing Scottish weather in new free exhibition A Weather Eye at the McManus from Sat 9 November.
- Dundee Rep and DJCAD’s Contemporary Art Practice Society come together to present Oor Dundee, an exhibition inspired by Oor Wullie and capturing the different sides of Dundee’s liveliness. Opening Wed 20 November.
- Now showing at Nomas* Projects until Fri 29 November – The Way by Tom Fairlamb creates moments of agreement and opposition through twelve motorised houseflies, stuck in a window-tapping, morse code loop.
Content
- What does it mean to be ‘visible’ or ‘invisible’ when we think about our mental health? Take a dip into a new collection of writing, facilitated by the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival with each piece illustrated by Laura Darling.
