Thu 6 – Tue 11 February at Hapworks_00
We’re thrilled to have the multi-award-winning Shaper/Caper joining us as the next Hapworks Takeover with the vitally important Queer & Now: An Exhibition about the Queer Experience.
Inspired by their award-winning show Small Town Boys which toured across Scotland last year, Shaper/Caper commissioned ten queer artists to explore the queer experience with themes around Section 28 and LGBTQ+ culture in the 80s and 90s, right through to the present day.
A celebration of queer voices and expression, this powerfully moving exhibition features artists Alex Hayward, AJ Duncan, Brian Evans, Ross Whyte, Nina Marianne Scott, Bart Grabski, Ciaran Cannon, Fiona Percy, Iona Rose Wheeler, and Lyra Sands.
Join Shaper/Caper on Thu 6 February for a special Spotlight event and drinks reception from 1.30pm–4pm, and drop-in to view the exhibition at Hapworks_00 from Thu 6 – Tue 11 February, 10am–4pm.
