- Join Arts Workers for Palestine Dundee on Tue 15 April for a conversation with Palestinian artist Leena Nammari following her recent exhibition with Sharing Not Hoarding.
- Dundee’s funk-pop quintet Jutebox are celebrating the launch of their new single ‘Adore’ with a night of music at The Maker on Thu 18 April.
- Join Transition Dundee and students from Abertay University for a special Fashion Show on Tue 23 April celebrating two years of Dundee’s The Wardrobe!
- Makers for Maggie’s Spring Market is back! Drop in to the Steeple on Sat 27 April to shop a brilliant line-up of local artists, makers and designers, and support the vital work of Dundee’s Maggie’s Centre.
Workshops
- There’s still time to join Queer Makers Club at Forgan Arts Centre running on Sat 6, 20 and 27 April! LGBTQIA+ adults are invited to join a series of creative workshops creating soft furnishings that embody ideas of care and rest.
- Running alongside V&A Dundee’s Photo City exhibition, join UNESCO City of Design Dundee for a series of free Photo Walks led by photographer Ben Douglas. Book your place for the first walk on Sun 7 April.
- Get into the spring spirit with the MAXwell Centre and join them on Tue 23 April to create your very own fairy garden!
- The team at Dundee Ceramics Workshop have two chances for you to try your hand at wheel throwing this month with taster sessions on Sun 21 or Fri 26 April.
Opportunities
- NEoN Digital Arts are partnering with Feeling Strong and want to hear from young people in Dundee to Rethink Democracy. Join them Wed 10, 17 and 24 April to take part in the mini-programme and add your voice.
- Scottish visual arts workers can apply for the Stephen Palmer Travel Bursary for up to £500 covering sustainable travel costs to support professional development. Applications close Mon 15 April.
- The Museum of Transology is collaborating with Trans Pride UK to build local collections of trans stories and objects for communities. Add an object that tells your story of trans joy to the collection on Sat 20 April at V&A Dundee.
- Artists who have or have had mental health issues are invited to submit their work for the next Out of Sight Out of Mind exhibition in October. Applications for a Materials Grant close on Mon 20 May and submissions for artworks of any media close on Mon 8 July.
Exhibitions
- Travelling Gallery have partnered with Hospitalfield for their latest exhibition A Bonnie Way from artists Ufuoma Essi, Bobbi Cameron and Sarah Rose. Hop aboard to see the exhibition as it visits Dundee Mon 8–Wed 10 April.
- Collective exhibition State of Print has returned to GENERATORprojects for a final event exploring print practices and the role they play in establishing the structures of ‘state’. On until Sun 14 April.
- Head to Dundee Botanic Gardens on Sun 21 and Mon 22 April for Intertwined: Festival of the Earth, an exhibition featuring work from local artists Clover Christopherson, Saoirse Amira Anis and Susie Johnston.
- Visit Nomas* Projects for new exhibition Three Certainties featuring a series of stunning miniature paintings by artist Robert Jackson. Exhibition runs until Thu 2 May with an online artist’s talk on Sun 21 April.

- Support the city’s indie record shops for Record Store Day on Sat 20 April and head down to Le Freak Records, Thirteen Records, and Assai Dundee to celebrate!
