- Join Uppertunity’s Spring Open Day on Sat 9 March, where you can create your very own design and getting to grips with the basics of screen printing at two screen printing workshops with Yolla Studio.
- Join Hotchpotch Dundee on Wed 13 March for their next open mic night and their 14th birthday! To help celebrate, this month’s event will be free to join.
- On Thu 14 March, join Dundee Libraries for Maritime Pasts and Futures Exploration Day where four speakers, including Amps Erin Farley and Manuela de los Rios, will share stories of the Tay.
- Head to Blend Coffee Lounge on Fri 22 March for a night of spoken word and music from Dundee duo 2 Stoned Birds!

- The Dundee Women’s Festival is back from Sat 2–Sun 17 March with fascinating, creative and inspiring events celebrating this year’s theme of ‘Wimen Mak it Happen’.
- Join Cooper Gallery on Thu 7 March for a special event with author Daisy Lafarge exploring her 2023 book Lovebug as part of the current exhibition ‘The Scale of Things’.
- Celebrate 25 years of DCA from Sun 17–Sat 23 March with a special programme of events including the ’25 Years in Print’ exhibition and a selection of the best films from 1999.
- Shop with lots of local sellers and makers at The Yard Market each month! In March, you can find 100% Vegan products at the market on Sat 23 March and an array of fantastic makers on Sat 30 March.
Workshops
- Get hands on with coil building at Dundee Ceramics Workshop with their next Intro to Coil Building course starting on Sun 10 March. Perfect for beginners who want to try something new!
- Head to Federation Gallery on Sat 16 March for a Drypoint Etching Workshop with award-winning artist Kristopher Malone and Local Art Club.
- Join ScrapAntics on Sun 31 March for a Crisp Packet Workshop and learn how to turn your snacking into emergency blankets and other items to help rough sleepers.
- Pop down to Ninewells Community Garden on Monday mornings for their Mosaic and Craft Group! A relaxing, free way to kick-start your week with all materials you’ll need provided.
Opportunities
- Dundee Youth Work Network are searching for a filmmaker to help share and spotlight the successes of 12 youth work projects across Dundee. Apply with a short pitch by 1pm, Fri 8 March.
- Coaching for Creatives want to create a diverse and dynamic community of coaches for Scotland’s creative sector, and are offering two free places to people of colour on their Dynamic Coaches Programme. Apply for this free training and accreditation by Mon 18 March.
- Exhibitor opportunities are now open for Tea Green Events Summer Design Market at V&A Dundee. Apply before midnight, Mon 8 April.
- Add your details to the Dundee Artists Database, a new volunteer-run artist directory hoping to make it easier for individuals, businesses and organisations across the city to work and collaborate with local artists.
Exhibitions
- Head to Wasps Meadow Mill Studios before Sun 10 March for ‘When objects become conversations’, a visiting exhibition by Japanese artists Aya Shimamoto and Masahiro Kawanaka.
- Visit Discovery point from Wed 13 March for a photography exhibition in celebration of the creative work of Dundee Photographic Society.
- Collective exhibition ‘State of Print‘ returns to Dundee with the artist-led nation occupying GENERATORprojects from Sat 23 March–Sun 14 April.
- Running at the Lamb Gallery until Sat 27 April, new exhibition ‘Un-Earthed‘ features art and artefacts exploring the ways in which we have explored, represented and exploited the land.
