Who needs fireworks?! Dundee is totally bursting with creative and cultural events the first weekend of November; offering a one-off chance to see the city at it’s absolute creative finest, packed with Dundee’s best diverse and collaborative homegrown talent.
Events taking place over Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th November 2012 include:
Blinshall House Open Studios – Saturday 3rd Nov, 9am – 5pm – the artists are opening their studio doors. You are also invited to their preview on Friday 2nd November 7-9pm and to see it all out with a bang on the 3rd, Saturday night, will be PARTY TIME! NEoN Digital Arts Festival – week long festival launches Sunday 4th Nov, 2pm. The NEoN Launch Party in Tay Square features visual displays, interactive pigs (!) and plenty of opportunities to explore and be entertained by digital technology; this is a free drop-by event. Wasps Open Studios – Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th Nov and with over 50 studios taking part, you can expect to see an immense array of talent covering painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, illustration, soft sculpture, and much more. Read more about this event here.
Autumnal Delight Night – Friday 2nd Nov 6pm – 8pm – for one evening only you can meet your local designer-makers Vanilla Ink and Nikki McWilliams, buy their great wares and even maybe win a goodie bag of treats and surprises! Read more about this event here.
